10. Revolusi Prancis

Orang-orang ("the enslaved populace") bangkit dengan kekuatan, aristokrasi dijatuhkan dan dipancung ("While princes and lords are held captive in prisons"). Dalam versi lain, "the 'great wall' falling" dikatakan merujuk kepada kerusuhan di Bastille.

9. London Fire (The Great Fire of London)



"The blood of the just will commit a fault at London,
Burnt through lighting of twenty threes the six:
The ancient lady will fall from her high place,
Several of the same sect will be killed."

Peristiwa London Fire terjadi pada tahun 1666, namun hanya sedikit orang yang mengetahuinya.

Peristiwa ini benar-benar meratakan London kuno ("The ancient lady") di dalam dinding tua Roma. Hanya enam korban jiwa yang benar-benar diketahui ("the six" di baris kedua merujuk kepada jumlah kematian), walaupun mungkin banyak dari penduduk London yang meninggal ketika itu, tetapi mereka tidak tercatat dalam sejarah.

Api dari London Fire bermula dari sebuah toko roti, yang kemudian melahap seluruh kota dalam tiga hari penuh. Jika penduduk London ketika itu melihat catatan Nostradamus, mungkin mereka dapat selamat dari maut.

8. Kematian Lady Diana



"The penultimate of the surname of Prophet
Will take Diana [Thursday] for his day and rest:

And delivering a great people from subjection."

Ayah dari pacar Lady Diana, Dodi Al-Fayed, bernama Mohammed ("Prophet" - Nabi Muhammad)

Apakah kematian Lady Diana merujuk kepada "a great people from subjection"? Mungkin bukan, namun kita semua setuju bahwa Anglo-Saxon (Great Britain) merupakan bangsa yang terdiri dari orang-orang hebat. Faktanya sendiri, bahwa nama "Diana" jelas-jelas disebut di ramalan Nostradamus, dan tulisan nama yang spesifik seperti ini sangat jarang ditemukan dalam karya-karya Nostradamus.

7. Badai Katrina



"The cities of Tours, Orleans, Blois, Angers, Reims and Nantes
Are troubled by sudden change.
Tents will be pitched by (people) of foreign tongues;
Rivers, darts at Rennes, shaking of land and sea."

Apakah yang dimaksud oleh Nostradamus itu NEW Orleans? "Shaking of land and sea" mungkin merujuk kepada badai. "By (people) of foreign tongues" dapat berarti pertolongan sukarelawan dari seluruh dunia (untuk korban Katrina).

Lalu apa maksud Tours, Blois, Angers, Reims dan Nantes?

Kemungkinan besar kota-kota tersebut ditujukan untuk Pra-Katrina.

6. Kematian John F. Kennedy dan Robert F. Kennedy



"The great man will be struck down in the day by a thunderbolt,
An evil deed foretold by the bearer of a petition.
According to the prediction, another falls at night time.
Conflict at Reims, London and a pestilence in Tuscany."

"Thunderbolt" berarti gunshot atau tembakan. Dan "the great man will be struck down in the day" artinya kematian John F. Kennedy. "Another falls at night time" harusnya ditujukan kepada Bobby Kennedy yang mati lima tahun kemudian.

Lalu apakah artinya Reims, London, dan Tuscany?

5. Louis Pasteur



"The lost thing is discovered, hidden for many centuries.
Pasteur will be celebrated almost as a God-like figure.
This is when the moon completes her great cycle,
But by other rumors he shall be dishonored."

Louis Pasteur (1822 - 1895) merupakan seorang ilmuwan kelahiran Prancis. Beliau dikenal sebagai salah satu ilmuwan mikrobiologi terbesar sepanjang masa. Penemuan-penemuannya yang tak ternilai bagi dunia diantaranya adalah proses pasteurisasi, yaitu mematikan bakteri yang ada di susu dengan pemanasan, dan vaksin antraks dan rabies ("the lost thing is discovered, hidden for many centuries").

Pasteur, dalam bahasa Prancis dapat juga berarti "pastor" atau pendeta. Oleh karena itu, beberapa orang mengatakan ramalan ini hanya sekedar prosa dari Nostradamus tentang pendeta tua atau apapun itu. Yang lain mengatakan ini adalah ramalan langsung tentang orang yang mempelajari mikrobiologi dan menemukan susu tahan bakteri dan vaksinasi antraks serta rabies.

Silakan pilih mana yang kira-kira lebih masuk akal bagi anda.

4. Bom Atom di Hiroshima dan Nagasaki



"Near the gates and within two cities
There will be scourges the like of which was never seen,
Famine within plague, people put out by steel,
Crying to the great immortal God for relief."

Hiroshima dan Nagasaki ("Two Cities") dibom atom pada tanggal 6 dan 9 Agustus 1945.

"Scourges the like of which was never seen" dan "Crying to the great immortal God for relief" merupakan deskripsi akurat tentang apa yang terjadi tanggal 6 dan 9 Agustus 1945. Namun beberapa kritik menyangkalnya dengan mengatakan ramalan tersebut masih samar, artinya dapat berlaku terhadap semua perang yang terjadi diantara abad Notradamus hingga sekarang - atau di masa depan.

3. World War II/Hitler



"The two greatest ones of Asia and of Africa,
From the Rhine and Lower Danube they will be said to have come,
Cries, tears at Malta and the Ligurian side.

Also ...

From the depths of the West of Europe,
A young child will be born of poor people,
He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop;
His fame will increase towards the realm of the East."

Dua bait ramalan ini mungkin menceritakan tentang Perang Dunia II dan Hitler... atau bukan.

Mungkinkah "A young child will be born of poor people" adalah Adolf Hitler?

Bukankah yang paling dikenal dari Hitler adalah kekejamannya? Dan bagaimana dengan genosida serta sifatnya yang megalomaniac? Bukankah itu Adolf Hitler?

2. Sept. 11, 2001 (The 9/11 Attack)



"Earthshaking fire from the center of the Earth
Will cause tremors around the New City.
Two great rocks will war for a long time,
Then Arethusa will redden a new river."

Yah, "Two great rocks" dapat berarti "two towers" kan? Namun dapatkah kita katakan kedua menara itu sedang berperang?

Jika anda membaca ramalan ini sebelum The 9/11 Attack, anda mungkin mengira ini mengacu kepada gempa bumi atau gunung meletus. "Earthshaking fire", "tremors", "rocks will war", bisa saja merujuk kepada dua lempeng bumi yang saling bertabrakan, lalu mengakibatkan gempa, namun siapa yang tahu?

Kembali ke Nostradamus, gedung pencakar langit seperti Twin Towers, jumbo jet seperti yang menabrak mereka dan kota modern seperti New York mungkin tidak pernah terpikirkan atau terbayangkan, lalu jika ia benar-benar melihat kejadian ini, apakah ia tahu apa yang benar-benar ia lihat?

1. End of The World



Ingat ketika orang-orang mengatakan bahwa dunia akan berakhir pada tahun 1994?

Bagaimana dengan tahun 1998?

Atau 2000?

Para pengikut Nostradamus percaya bahwa Nostradamus mengatakan dunia pasti akan berakhir, dan kita semua tahu itu walaupun kita tidak percaya kepada Nostradamus
